Gur wale chawal (sweet rice) or jaggery rice is a dessert dish that has its roots in the Indian subcontinent. Jaggery rice is a very famous dish across Pakistan and India for its sweet taste and unique flavor. Sweet and delicious things bring happiness to faces and this dish is the perfect thing for celebration and happiness. Indian and Pakistani people also like to cook this dish on different occasions like Eid or Holi. Gur wale chawal is also eaten as a dessert after lunch or dinner and also sometimes as a snack.

  1. Jegary: ½ kg
  2. Almond: 15
  3. Raisins: 15
  4. Cardamom: 4
  5. Coconut: 
  6. Rice: 2 glass
  7. Ghee: 1 cup
  8. Water: 4 glass

Steps to follow:

  • Take water in a pan and add jaggery to it.
  • Then in a bowl at warm water and put Almonds, raisins and coconut in it.
  • Heat up the Enna Pan and cardamoms in it and fried for a while then add jaggery water which was already prepared to it. 
  • Boiled for some time and then add rise to it.
  • Cook it well and then add milk to it.
  • Once the water is dried up Ganesh it with Aman raisins and coconut.
